Eddie Vigil [Vee-Hill], director-writer, Los Angeles, California.
His feature film debut It’s What’s on the Inside is a romantic-drama character study centered around an agorophobic life coach that released internationally April 2021 on Amazon Prime Video and other platforms.
His sophomore feature film effort, the psychological comedy following a couple on an ultimatum weekend getaway to a mysterious village town Out Past Dark, wrapped production May 2021 and is currently in post.
Eddie’s directing approach is informed by his experience as a script supervisor and 1st assistant director giving him strong foundational understanding of the technical aspects involved regarding continuity and editing as well as the logistics involved with what’s possible with a given crew, respectively.
He’s had the unique experience of collaborating with many directors up close in these key positions, allowing him to pick up new tricks as well as seeing first-hand many what-not-to-do’s.
Eddie started his filmmaking journey by founding and managing the volunteer-based film group Reno Film Collective, having involved of over 150 creative individuals and producing over 70 narrative short films, the web series Same But Different spanning 10 episodes, and several commercial pieces for local small businesses.
He strives to be build an atmosphere of calm, collected, confidence on his sets, to have fun, and to get us home.
